Immersion: Inductive Bible Study

Instructions: Read each of the verses below. Think through what each passage teaches about immersion. What does the passage not teach? The important question we want to answer in this study is, "What does the Bible say about immersion?" As such, we are not concerned with the question, "What does the Bible say about immersion and salvation," nor do we care about the question, "Do we have to be baptized to be saved," but, rather, we simply want to ask that main question. That will give us our answers to other things, but we must start with the fundamentals.

Notes: (1) The title of this study is "immersion" in the spirit of translating words rather than transliterating them. (2) No comments have been made in the interest of allowing the Bible to speak for itself and the student to wrestle with the scriptures.
